The Captains

Captain Mark Pieniozek Reel Fish' LLC

USCG Licensed Master Captain

"The Legend of the Bay." With over 50 years of experience on Saginaw Bay, Captain Mark doesn't just know where the fish are—he knows what they’re thinking. Growing up right on the shoreline, he developed an "inch-by-inch" knowledge of these waters that only comes from half a century of sunrise starts.

If you’re on Mark’s boat, be prepared for two things: a heavy cooler and a lot of laughs. Known as the crew’s resident jokester, Mark has a knack for "messing" with his clients just enough to keep the energy high. The second the final limit fish is safely in the net, you can count on Mark reaching for a victory cigar. For him, chartering isn't just a business; it’s a lifelong mission to share the thrill of the Great Lakes with a side of old-school humor.

Captain Adam Lipinski Reel FIsh'n LLC

USCG Licensed Master Captain

"From Scales to Tails." Captain Adam is a lifelong Michigan outdoorsman who did what most people only dream of: he traded the "real world" to turn a deep-seated passion for the woods and water into a premier, full-time guide service. Growing up hunting and fishing the wild landscapes of Northern Michigan, Adam’s expertise now covers the full spectrum of the state’s best outdoor action.

Whether he’s coaching you through a high-adrenaline vertical jigging strike on the Detroit River or coordinating a technical layout duck hunt on the open waters of Lake Huron, Adam is your go-to guide for a four-season adventure. He is the "tactician" of the fleet, constantly scouting and rigging to ensure every client experience is elite. For Adam, the goal is simple: provide a safe, professional, and "bucket-list" worthy experience every time the lines go in the water.

The Mates

Captain Jordan Slipek "Chubs"

First Mate & USCG Licensed Captain

"They call me Chubs." Jordan—better known on the water as Chubs—is a full-time guide who traded a career as a union electrician for a life following the migration. His obsession with the outdoors started early, snaking away from his day job at a boat salvage yard just to get a few casts in on his lunch break. That raw passion eventually landed him his first deckhand job, and he hasn’t looked back since.

When he isn’t running his own multispecies charters, Chubs is a vital part of the Reel Fish'n crew during our most technical seasons.

  • Detroit River: He brings a high-energy "jig-until-you-drop" mentality to our spring walleye run.

  • Duck Season: He’s our layout boat specialist, managing the tender and the "mischief" required to keep a spread looking perfect in heavy Lake Huron weather.

Whether he’s netting a trophy walleye or cooking up a hot meal on the tender boat, Chubs is there to make sure your trip is high-action and zero-stress.

First Mate Brady Giffel

First Mate & Adventure Specialist

"Born for the Great Lakes." Brady isn't just a Mate; he’s a lifelong family friend of Captain Adam and his wife, Danielle. Now 14, Brady has been obsessed with the outdoors since he could hold a rod. While most kids his age are glued to a screen, Brady is usually the first one on the boat, waking up before the sun and drinking his coffee black to prepare for a day on the water.

A natural-born outdoorsman and multi-sport athlete, Brady brings the same "Olympic-level" dedication to the back of the boat that he brings to the wrestling mat. Whether it's swapping out walleye gear for big-water salmon rigs in Oscoda or tending a fire at camp, he simply lives for the fresh air.

His Specialty: * The "Trout Whisperer": Brady has an uncanny knack for dropping the right rigs to trigger a bite when the morning starts slow. Hard Work: He spent his entire 2025 summer working the charter deck, proving he's one of the hardest-working young men in the Michigan charter industry.

If you’re on a trip with Brady, you’re in good hands. Just don't be surprised if he tries to talk you into an extra hour on the water—he’d stay out there forever if we let him.
